Hi, this is my first blog post of Term 4. Recently I have been doing this I come from poem that shows stuff about my childhood we also have done some Mondrian art which is where we make a google drawing and put some black thin and thick lines which makes boxes where we add some colors of our choice. I have been doing some work on the Manawatu estuary, we made a google drawing to show the map of the estuary and how it is used.

Hi my name is Josh and in the last few days we have been painting this art that this famous painter Wassily Kandinsky made and we are learning how to use small paint brushes to keep in between the lines. In the last few weeks we were doing some art to do with a t shirt,  shoe and a hat. We had to make a logo to put on our hat and t-shirt. I did an info graph on growth and fixed mindset on this website called vista create I found some growth and fixed mindset quotes. We are still doing code every Monday afternoon and word work every week. I’m doing a novel study named Small Steps I am doing a word study, chapter questions and group tasks.

I have been working on this drawing of an elephant with zentangles. I learnt how to draw this because it improves our skill with drawing. I learnt how to draw an elephant and do some Cambodian zentangles. I’ve been doing this hat design thing where I also learnt how to design a logo to put on my hat. I have been reading this book called Small steps. I have chapter questions, a word study task and some weekly tasks. I did a character web on a character named Armpit. I have been learning about P.B.S for inquiry, we did some mindful eating. I learnt what a growth mindset and fixed mindset is. We did a thing on green and red zones. I went to the Matariki gala and I liked that my friends were there because I got to talk to them and catch up because I hadn’t talked to some of them since before the holidays. When I was walking around I stopped and watched the rugby game. In my math groups we have been learning about pattern relationships and graphs I’ve learnt a lot about pattern relationships and I really enjoy learning about it

Hi, This is our Matariki video. We watched a couple videos to get some information and then wrote down what we wanted to say.

For inquiry I have been learning about bread and how it is made. We are currently doing a title page on bread . I learnt that they use special machines to wrap the bread. I also learnt how flour was made.

We were doing times tables not that long ago in math. We are now starting divisions. We are doing an ikan and basic facts test later in the week. I’m trying to learn the factors of a number and my prime numbers.

 In literacy we are still doing grammar sheets and word work. We do Handwriting once a week. We just finished our persuasive writing and I did it on why you should buy a dirt bike. We all have been doing some set tasks on different books and we have to answer questions about the book.

In math I have improved my basic facts score. I have learnt my square roots and square numbers. I am now learning my factors. We are all learning measurement this term. Last term we learnt probability.  We have been learning about ANZAC. I did an Anzac day title page. We are now doing an infographic. Every week we do word work and a grammar sheet.

I enjoyed making the infographic because I like researching and finding/adding icons.

I found it challenging to learn my fractions to decimals.

If I did the title page again I would add more poppies around the page.

Hello, My name is Joshua I am 12 years old and in year 7. I go to Foxton Beach School. My favorite subject is coding because it is computer related and it is really fun. I am New Zealand European, I have 5 siblings and 3 parents. My personal interests are GTA online and farming at my dads house. I also am really fast and came 2nd in cross country. I know how to drive a car, dirt bike and a tractor. I am really good at math. I am stage 7 and I know almost all of my times tables. I love maths because when we are finished with our work we can play games like prodigy. My math goal is to know all of my times tables before the end of the year. I also like writing because I am a fast typer, being a fast typer makes it so much easier. I like writing because you can also use your imagination. I am looking forward to the end of the term because we will get alot of free time and I will be able to play rugby with my friends on the court. I am also looking forward for the summer holidays because then I can play games with my little brother and my dad. I also want to spend more time with my dad and my sister and brother because we don’t always get much time together.
